The Library Offprints collection consists of photocopied journal articles or chapters from books which have been recommended on reading lists. They have been copyright cleared and therefore photocopies may be made from them within the terms of the CLA licence.

The Offprints are housed in the Short Loan Collection and items can be borrowed on a four hourly basis.

Offprint items are issued for:

4 hour blocks from time of check out or from 4pm until 10am the following morning on a Monday - Thursday

From Friday 4pm until 12.30pm on Saturday morning

At weekends the loan periods are slightly longer, items issued at any time on Saturday are issued until 12:30pm on Sunday and items issued at any time on Sunday are issued until 10:00 on Monday

Offprint loans cannot be renewed over the telephone but can be re-issued to a borrower upon presentation of the item concerned and a valid library card. Substantial fines of 60 pence per hour or part of an hour are charged if they are returned late.
