MSc in Sports Management (ongoing)
BA (Hons) Physical Recreation Programmes and Geography 2:1

Research Background:

  • Part of the local evaluation team for the Local Exercise Action Pilot (LEAP) Plymouth Free Swimming initiative.

 
Research Interests:

  • Local Authority Sports Development.
  • January – July 2006 Local Exercise Action Pilot consultancy for Plymouth City Council.
  • April 2006 contributed to Devonport Regeneration Company’s Physical Activity Strategy.

 
Teaching Areas:

  • Previously taught Adult Education (access course) to adult ‘returners’ to education. 
  • Currently teach BA (Hons) Sports Development modules to undergraduates on the Sports Development Single Honours, Major, and Minor routes, and Single Honours Coaching and Physical Education students.  This has included the development of new modules within Sports Development.
  • Currently developing a new Foundation Degree in Coaching and Sports Development in collaboration with Kelly College.
